Lake Manitouwabing — “the Bing” to cottagers — is a long, winding inland lake just east of Parry Sound, with warmer water and calmer days than the open bay. The village of McKellar sits on its shore with a general store, a summer farmers’ market and an annual fair, and The Ridge at Manitou golf course overlooks the lake.
A cottage for rent on Lake Manitouwabing is a good choice for families who want easy swimming, waterskiing and fishing for bass and walleye, with Parry Sound’s shops and Georgian Bay’s beaches about 20 minutes away. The lake is about 2¾ hours from Toronto.
