Honey Harbour and Port Severn are the southern gateway to the Thirty Thousand Islands and the closest island cottage country to Toronto. Port Severn has the last lock of the Trent–Severn Waterway, and Honey Harbour is the boat launch for Georgian Bay Islands National Park, where Beausoleil Island has hiking trails, campsites and swimming beaches.
A cottage for rent here can be on the bay among islands and channels or on calm inland lakes like Six Mile Lake and Gloucester Pool, both great for families. Six Mile Lake Provincial Park and the Muskoka towns are nearby. Port Severn is only about 1¾ hours from Toronto on Highway 400.
