List for freeDiscover Bracebridge
Bracebridge grew up around a waterfall on the Muskoka River, and the falls still tumble right through the town centre beside the main street’s shops, pubs and bakeries. Renting a cottage in Bracebridge means easy days: Wilson’s Falls and High Falls are a short drive, the river leads by boat to Lake Muskoka, and smaller lakes in the surrounding hills offer quieter cottages for rent with a dock and a canoe.
Families know Bracebridge for Santa’s Village, a summer amusement park on the river, and for the Muskoka Chautauqua and farmers’ markets. In winter, trails, skating and nearby ski hills keep the town busy. Bracebridge is about 2 hours north of Toronto, between Gravenhurst and Huntsville on Highway 11.
