Bobs Lake is a large lake of long bays, narrows and islands that serves as a reservoir for the Rideau Canal, its water released through the dam at Bolingbroke. With dozens of kilometres of shoreline and few towns, it feels quiet even in July, and many cottages here have their own private stretch of rock and forest.
A cottage for rent on Bobs Lake is good for families and anglers alike: bass, pike and walleye fishing, swimming in warm bays and boating through the narrows. Westport and its shops are about 20 minutes away, and Kingston about 50 minutes. Bobs Lake is about 1½ hours from Ottawa and 3 hours from Toronto.
