Innisfil stretches along the west shore of Lake Simcoe between Barrie and the GTA, the closest big-lake cottage country to Toronto. Innisfil Beach Park has a long sandy beach and picnic areas, Big Bay Point has a large resort marina, and the lake is known as one of the best places in Canada for ice fishing, with huts on the ice every winter.
