Discover Lake of the Woods & Kenora

Lake of the Woods, on the Ontario–Manitoba border, is a vast lake of more than 14,000 islands, rocky channels and sheltered bays. Kenora is its main town, with a harbourfront boardwalk, summer cruises on the MS Kenora, a big muskie statue and busy marinas. Further south, Sioux Narrows and Nestor Falls are classic fishing-lodge country.

A cottage for rent on Lake of the Woods is a summer of boating between islands, swimming in warm bays and fishing for walleye, muskie and bass, with northern lights on clear nights. Kenora is on the Trans-Canada Highway, about 2 hours east of Winnipeg; Kenora has a small airport.
