List for freeDiscover Wolfe Island
Wolfe Island is the largest of the Thousand Islands, a quiet island of farms, shoreline and country roads reached by a free car ferry from downtown Kingston in about 25 minutes. The village of Marysville has a general store, a café and a lively summer music festival, and Big Sandy Bay has a long natural beach with dunes.
A cottage for rent on Wolfe Island is ideal for cycling flat island roads, swimming, birdwatching and kitesurfing on the windy south shore, with sunsets over Lake Ontario. Kingston’s restaurants and Fort Henry are just across the water. Kingston is about 2½ hours from Toronto and 2 hours from Ottawa.
