About this place

Rutledge Lake Retreat is a four-season home in Monteagle Valley, a few minutes north of Bancroft, set on 58 acres of forest with walking trails and a private lake about three minutes' walk away. Loons call across the water, the swimming is clean and quiet, and the property has kayaks, canoes and a rowboat for guests.

The home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps up to 10. Cook in the chef's kitchen with a large dining table, relax in one of two living rooms with a fireplace each, or play billiards. Outside there is a screened porch for meals and evenings, a deck with a BBQ and a pizza oven, a big fire pit and a saltwater hot tub.

The ATV and snowmobile trail system is minutes away, so it works in every season: summer on the lake, autumn hikes in the woods and winter evenings by the fire. Laundry, firewood, basic toiletries and basic cooking items are provided. Ask the owner about rates and availability for your dates.
